Dr Lo was the Chairman at the IRAMEA Shoulder Arthroscopy Masters Forum held at the National University Hospital in Singapore. An international contingent of shoulder experts participated in this unique didactic and cadaver course held over two days in February, 2015. This included faculty and participants from North America, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Middle East.

Dr Lo recently served a guest lecturer and instructor at the annual Cowboy Way Advanced Arthroscopy Course in San Antonio, TX held on Oct 25, and 26, 2012. This course held annually in San Antonio, TX gathered approximately 120 orthopaedic surgeon from North America. Dr Lo lectured on the Congruent Arc Latarjet Reconstruction and Arthroscopic Suprascapular Nerve Release.

Dr Lo has recently presented at the 29th Annual San Diego Shoulder Course: Arthroscopy, Arthroplasty, Fracture, San Diego, CA, June 20-23, 2012.  This annual shoulder course is the pre-eminent shoulder educational course in North America with faculty and participants from around the world. Dr Lo presented on his thoughts on “Arthroscopic Approach to Massive Rotator Cuff Tears: Recognition and Releases” and “Arthroscopic Instability Repair: The Classic Bankart Repair”.

Dr Lo Presents At The Arthroscopy Association Of North America

Dr Lo recently instructed at the Arthroscopy Association of North America Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL from May 17-19, 2012. He presented his thoughts and techniques on “Arthroscopic Revision For Failed Instability Surgery” and “Improving Outcomes In Shoulder Instability Surgery. A Case Based Approach”. These presentations outlined the indications and techniques of both primary and revision arthroscopic instability surgery, the pearls and pitfalls of each arthroscopic technique and the need for bone augmentation.

Dr Lo Teaches National Arthroscopy Lab In Austin, Texas

Dr Lo recently held a National Shoulder Arthroscopy Lab in Austin, TX on Feb 25, 2012. Serving as the Master Instructor, Dr Lo and Dr Neault (Chicago, IL), taught the latest techniques in arthroscopic rotator cuff and instability repairs including knotless techniques. This course also served as the grand opening for the Arthrocare Surgical Skill Lab, a state of the art, conference centre and surgical skills laboratory dedicated to physician education.

Cowboy Companion Book Launched

The Cowboy Companion: A Trail Guide For The Arthroscopic Shoulder published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins was recently launch at the 2012 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. This comprehensive shoulder arthroscopy text, co-authored by Drs Stephen Burkhart, Ian Lo, Paul Brady and Patrick Denard garnered early praise for its comprehensiveness, video animations, and accompanying DVDs. The iPad app was also received well with numbers equaling standard text sales.

This yearly event highlights the recent arthroscopic advances in hip, knee, ankle, shoulder and elbow arthroscopy. Dr Lo will be presenting his thoughts on “The Intra-articular Approach To Subscapularis Tendon Repairs”, will be the Chairman of the Shoulder Arthroscopy Lab and performing a live Focus Demo on “Simplifying Complex Labral Repair, Anterior, Posterior and Circumferential Lesions”

Dr Lo is traveling this weekend to the Boston Shoulder and Sports Symposium. He will be speaking on “Arthroscopic Subscapularis Tendon Repair: Technique and Pearls” and “The Rotator Interval: What to do”. This unique symposium gather orthopaedists, sport medicine physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers and other health care professionals in a multi-disciplinary approach to complex shoulder and sports injuries.
